Artist Statement: Kevin Montoya (2013)
Art. Although its just a simple three letter word it means a lot to me. I see art as not just colors, designs, and shapes but as a way to truly represent feelings and ideas. Throughout my artwork I try to show how I feel and my perspective on various subjects. I usually show these ideas through programs like illustrator revolving around the idea of music and reality.
I hope I can extend my artwork by reaching out and expressing deeper more meaningful subjects. As for where art takes me, I'm still unsure about that. I want to be able to enhance my skills as far as possible and see the quality of my projects, both visually and conceptually, before I decide whether I want to follow a career in art.
